Background

This is the third Sprint we plan on this platform. Aim of the sprint was the but fixing of the version 1.9.1-pre (now released as 1.9.1-final) and the work on the new API layer. It has showed a Sprint velocity of 1d/week (based on only tracked and estimated time, it is more) so it is comparable to previous sprints (altough we completed more issues we were also more dev).

It is hard to estimate the real amount of work because of different reasons:

  • not all people track their workload

  • Jira has some problems in evaluating tasks progress when organized in different sub-tasks

  • it has not a unique instrument to evaluate the issues involved in a Sprint

Nevertheless some insights can be grabbed by the following charts (no longer available once the Sprint is closed, I don’t know the why):
