Jira Issues Workflow (go with the flow)

Jira Issues Workflow (go with the flow)

For the OpenHospital project we are adopting the following workflow for the issues published on Jira, concerning their statuses (for simplicty each status can lead to any other status):

Briefly explained as follow:

  • TO DO when the issue is created

  • IN PROGRESS when the issue is taken in charge by a dev

  • TO REVIEW when the dev has completed the job and started a pull-request

  • IN REVIEW when the reviewer has taken in charge the issue review

  • DOCUMENT only for some issues, indicated that the documentation needs to be drafted in order to complete the issue itself, when done a pull-request will be started on the openhospital-doc repository

  • DOC REVIEW when the reviewer has taken in charge the documentation review

  • done when the issue is completed

  • Pending when decision needs to be taken

  • CANCELED when the issue is canceled and no longer needed

In order to transitate and issue from TODO to IN PROGRESS an estimation time must be provided
